10k Boost & 10k Diesel
Difflock.com tested the 10k Diesel on a 300tdi Discovery Auto that was way overdue for a service, the effect was immediate and surprising. The engine revved a lot more freely and was a lot more responsive than before. It also made a big difference when pulling out at road junctions - which always need to be approached with care due to the unresponsive nature of the 300tdi/auto box combination - giving you the response you need just that bit quicker. We recommend following the instructions carefully but to bear in mind that it is a BIG spray can which can take many minutes to discharge into the engine - your thumb may go numb in the process! Here's the manufacturers blurb . . . A range of engine treatment chemicals that can rejuvenate a car's engine performance and restore economy to the manufacturer's original performance levels while reducing undesirable exhaust emissions, has been developed by British engineers for aerosol introduction into an engine via the air-inlet tract. The resulting chemical treatment removes build-up of carbon and other deposits which have accumulated through extended, or repeated short-duty, running. Suitable for use with both four-stroke petrol and diesel engines (provided they are mechanically sound), 10K Boost and 10K Diesel engine rejuvenators developed by Nickerson Chemicals and EML (Worldwide) Ltd, are easily applied at mileage intervals of 16000km, or 12 months, when carbon build-up can begin to cause a loss of performance. Using the spray is simple. The engine is first run until it reaches normal operating temperature. Engine speed is then increased to between 2000 and 2500 rev/min, while half the contents of the aerosol can of 10K Boost is sprayed into the air inlet. Engine speed is reduced to idle level for five minutes, then increased to 2000 to 2500 rev/min again, while the remainder of the 10K Boost is sprayed into the air inlet. When this has been done, the engine speed is reduced and maintained at idle level for 10 minutes or, preferably, the vehicle is driven for at least 10 minutes under normal driving conditions. This treatment pulls the fine spray through the combustion chamber and out through the exhaust, dissolving and dispersing any build-up of combustion deposits caused by atmospheric dust and carbon by-products left by spent fuel. Once the product has been applied correctly, the benefits are immediate and emphatic, states the company. The engine is able to perform better as the air-flow through the engine is smooth again restoring full engine power and fuel economy, resulting in less engine wear and cleaner exhaust emissions.
