Land Rover Swivel Housing Gaiter Kit
|

![]() |
We fitted the Gaiters to our Project 110 during the course of a hub assembly rebuild so we glued the two ends together prior to fitting. |

The rubber material is very pliable and easily stretched over the swivel assembly |

Once in place the seal clamp can be re-fitted and tightened up |

The thin metal 'clamp' supplied is very effective at keeping everything tight and in place. We noted that it would be very difficult to remove these afterwards without possibly damaging the gaiter. If you think you might need to remove them for some reason in the near future you might consider using a jubilee clib instead. |

BAILCAST also do a replacement "One-Shot' Swivel Grease that is supposed to replace the usual oil and be used as a fill-and-forget solution. It is slightly thicker than the standard oils and is designed to outlive the life of the vehicle.
The only problem we had with this was that with the grease being thicker than normal oil it made it very difficult to get it all into the housing. The PVC bottle was quite stiff. Our solution was to warm the bottle slightly by standing it in hot water to make the grease more viscous. Their Grease costs £5.00 per 370ml bottle and you will need one bottle for each swivel housing. |
