If you are planning any kind of off road trip, whether it's just for a few days or a whole year this book is undoubtably one of the most important bits of kit you could carry. Don't let the title put you off, Chris Scott obviously knows the Sahara desert and North Africa like the back of his hand but where this book really comes into its own is in the addition detail like planning your trip, vehicle preparation, off road driving tips etc which will be usefull anywhere in the world. www.Sahara-Overland.com

Over 500 pages of the most comprehensive information and advice you could possibly need!

The first half of this book covers everything from planning your itinerary, visas, documents, money through choosing a 4x4, vehicle preparation, camping and repairs to health, navigation, safety and photography.

The second half deals with different areas of Northern Africa, detailing specific routes in all of the following countries, Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt. Chad, Niger and Mali. Each route gives specific details of Longitude and Latitude locations, fuel, water and traffic conditions as well as maps and interesting places to visit along the way.

We could go on for ages about all the different and useful things this book contains but it would be easier if you just bought a copy, in fact buy TWO as someone is bound to borrow your copy and forget to give it back!
