HISTORY . . .

Bob Mazziotti and Clint Walker began designing Tentrax nearly three years ago first as a cargo solution. (Clint was working for Petersen Publishing at the time as an Editor in their Automotive and High Tech Groups - Bob is an expert at metal fabrications.)

Clint said "Bob owned a Jeep CJ and Clint owned the Defender 90. Bob had no cargo space at all and although I had the "safari rack" on my Rover, the weight simply compressed the suspension to the point of limiting my off road handling characteristics. (Thus the case anytime you add weight to your vehicle.)"

The initial concept was to build a "tub" that was not only lightweight, but very rugged and durable. This meant rethinking the basics of fiberglass fabrication and critical selection of all construction materials.

Over time the trailer kept evolving. Reached a point where they wanted to try out something practical inside the lid and the tent and bed was born. (both the tent and bed fold into the lid, leaving 24-cubic feet or cargo space below for storage.)

Over the past two years They have rode their prototypes hard and continually implemented new changes. The trailers offer a 0+/0- center of gravity parallel to the axel and perpendicular to the axel. And weigh roughly 600 to 700 pounds depending on options.

THE TRAILERS . . .

After 3 years of extensive research and engineering, Mazzco, Incorporated unveiled of the new Tentrax Sport Utility Trailer line. Available in All-Terrain and Boulevard models, the Tentrax SUT is inspired by the pursuit of adventure, the smell of mountain air, the sound of a flowing stream, and the warmth of a campfire at day’s end.

Each tent trailer is handcrafted and assembled in Eugene, Oregon using only the highest quality American-made materials available. Every 2-inch square-tube-steel frame is meticulously welded from laser-cut metals and powder coated before a specially reinforced fiberglass "tub" is bolted on.

The trailers are offered in a white gel-coat finish or can be custom painted to match any vehicle on the road. The Torflex axel utilizes a torsion-type suspension that can be built to carry up to 2,200 pounds of cargo and can be raised up to 6 inches from stock height offering up to 24 inches of ground clearance.

A bed and durable waterproof tent fold neatly into the lid of the trailer leaving over 24 cubic feet of dry and lockable storage below. It takes less than two minutes for one person to completely set up the tent for a comfortable night’s sleep.
