TOUREG x 2

No Less than TWO manufacturers have recently come up with off-roaders called TOUREG - pronounced twa-reg - ITALDESIGN from Italy was the first closely followed by PEUGEOT.

The TOUREG tribe are a nomadic race from Sub-Saharan Africa. Obviously both of these off-roaders are meant to inspire a spirit of adventure through the wilderness.

We detail both motors bellow;

ITALDESIGN TOUREG

No its not something from the Lego catalogue. This vehicle is already in production and competing in off-road events.

Powered by a huge GM V8 and with just the barest minimum of body and chassis parts adding to the weight its power to weight ratio is colossal.

We're not sure if it comes with wet weather gear for the UK market and unless you can store it in a dry place you better order it with vinyl seats!

There is nothing other than the space frame cage to protect you from the elements

PEUGEOT TOUREG

Resembling something from a bad '70s science fiction film this concoction from Peugeot cannot really be a serious production vehicle?!

Peugeot build some fantastic vehicles. Along with Citroen and Renault they sometimes come up with some simply revolutionary concepts. A cinyc would suggest that as they do not trade in the USA their enthusiasm is not killed off by regulations imposed on the North American Continent.

With the bodyshell built from Carbon Fibre and powered by a hybrid Electric/Petrol motor it should put it safely beyond the finances of even the most foolhardy off-road enthusiast, and just what are those 18" wheels meant to be doing.

I suppose it's good to see there are still vehicle manufacturers out there with a sense of fun. Sadly this French beast will probably never reach the showrooms, or not in this form anyway.
