EARTHWHEELS.com are looking for a few adventurers that would like to participate in the 'launch' of an exciting new amphibious vehicle based on the Jeep Wrangler. Built in China, this vehicle is less expensive than a Hummer yet capable of far more extensive off-road travel, Amphi-4wd is built from your donor Jeep.
Maintaining the drive-ability, durability and safety characteristics of the Wrangler, the amphibian is an ideal vehicle to tow behind a motorhome - no more deciding whether to tow a boat or a car. The amphibian is exceptionally easy to launch - just drive it up and down the boat ramp. This single vessel provides back road access and a stable fishing platform.
The amphibious vehicles pictured below are currently in production and based on an ISUZU 4wd vehicle. The Wrangler based model is similar, slightly larger, and includes the standard roll bar and soft top. Most standard Jeep features are available on the amphibian.
Cost for conversion, shipping and insurance is estimated to be $19,995 in addition the cost of the Jeep. Until volume warrants production in the US, the conversion will be performed in an China free trade zone - reducing labor and duty costs.
EARTHWHEELS.com are looking for adventurous Jeep owners that might like to participate in prototype development. Details for the Jeep Wrangler conversion have been engineered, but they need a late model Wrangler from which to build a prototype. For this purpose, they will reduce the con version price to $18,000. Conversion and shipping will take approximately 4 to 6 months. Upon completion, the prototype will be shipped back to the US for further testing and evaluation. Participating customers will receive preferential pricing for 2 additional conversions, and possible business participation. Production of the current model is about 50 conversions per month.

THE ISUZU CONVERSION
Take a look at this new amphibian, which is converted from ISUZU 4WD pick-up truck. It is 5.5 meters long and 1.8 meters wide and can carry 5 people and 750 kg cargo on the road and even more on the water. This model is equiped with power steering and air conditioning for comfortable driving. The hull is made from sheet stainless steel. Virtually any small or midsize pickup available in the US can be converted.
