ISSUE 18

Editor's Comment . . .

Hello again, I hope you're enjoying the Summer (or winter!) You can tell when it's summer in the UK because we have severe thunderstorms and flooding one day followed by 35° heat the next, very weird.

This month we've got slightly less articles than usual as August is normally a very quiet month for visitors to Difflock. However I think it's worth pointing out that even a 'cut-down' Difflock Magazine still brings you more features and articles than any other online 4x4 publication!

As I said August is usually quiet for us so we're taking the opportunity to upgrade our server to a mega whizzo supercharged version with go faster stripes! and and we are updating a few of the more popular areas of the site; Q&A Forum is getting a welcome makeover, the Classified Ads section is being completely revamped. The Part Finder Section is being re-written so that you can find anything you need for any vehicle. The Events Calendar is being updated and re-vamped to make it easier to find out what's happening and to publisice your own events. We will also be adding a 'Latest 4x4 News' section - updated daily - to bring you all the latest news as it happens,!

But the biggest change of all will be the launch of our On-Line Parts and Accessories store. As well as being able to buy our own range of products (as shown at the LRE Billing Show) you'll be able to buy from some of the well know 4x4 specialists too. Watch this space!

Also before the September Issue comes out there are two pretty big shows in the UK, the 1st is the Town & Country Festival at Stoneleigh which always has a very large 4x4 and Military turnout and then its the 2nd National 4x4 Show at Trentham Gardens, the largest event of it's kind in Europe! We'll be at both of these shows so hopefully we'll see you there.

Keep Off Roading!

Best Regards
Simon Ward-Hastelow

First impressions were "why the hell would anyone want this monstrosity in the back of their vehicle?" Just unpacking it from the box was an ordeal in itself!! Only joking, although it does take up a lot of room in the back of your 4x4. When you start to use the beast, then you can see why they are so popular. We had the use of an 11,000 lb pull pal. COOLANT & THERMOSTATS - Myths dispelled!

Every week I see vehicles that have either one or both missing. It won’t be for much longer, I reply, and you’ll soon have a hefty repair bill to boot. This usually grabs their attention!! more >>
