"Under New Management" was the often repeated phrase for this year's show. Only it isn't under new management at all. The Show organisers are the same as they have always been. This time they're doing it under their own banner rather than doing it for someone else.

Whether the 2001 show would be a success was not certain at all. You cannot fault the LRE team for giving it everything they'd got to make sure it was a good weekend. It was the same weekend as before, the same venue as before and the same format as before but they just do not have the marketing and promotional resources that LRO could call upon.

Anyway in our opionion, although everyone agreed that visitor numbers were down, it was still a good show. You could probably find every conceivable part and accessory for your Land Rover and I would doubt that anyone went away dissapointed.

From the earliest Series 1s to the latest Freelanders, every conceivable model and variation was represented at the show

The traders were putting all sorts of accessories in front of us trying to tempt you into parting with your cash

It's just amazing to see the range of after-market parts you can buy. How useful any of them are is another matter

This year saw more thanit's fair share of non LR vehicles, this Ford F150 Lightning was just one of the shinier examples

No wonder it was sinking with the amount of extra steelwork that Safety Devices had welded to this 90!

And if you have any doubts about whether your LR will get to where you want to go you can always use a UNIMOG

There were more vehicles for sale than ever at this years show
