BISON Barrel Bag
27th Aug 2009

Another new product from the BISON stable. Initial impressions might lead you to say 'so what' but the real beauty of products like this is that a lot of research has gone into the details and functions but the end user doesn't have to think about it, it just works.

So if you see a little black 'purse' being sold by a 4x4 company you might ask why? but on closer inspection, and after using one for a couple of weeks, we can easily state that this is a VERY neat product.

THe BISON Barrel Bag has many hidden talents.

Most of us have a few items that we need to hand regularly in a vehicle or just need to store something within easy reach, but don't want stuff rolling around on the dash or on the floor.

So let me introduce the Barrel Bag from BISON.

Simply put, it is a zipped bag, measuring 25cm (10 inches) long by 12cm (5inches) diameter. Made from very heavy duty water resistant material with two very handy velcro straps on the back.

And when we say 'velcro' its not the stuff you get on a school holdall or tent flap, this is also Heavy Duty stuff. The straps are also long enough to amply hold on to a roll cage or grab handle.

Easily attaches to internal handles

The Bag is not only a perfect fit to drop into a cubby box it has been designed to easily hold two standard toilet rolls! Like we said earlier, its the small details like these that make it a very useful item.

We use ours to carry all the charging leads for phone, ipod and camera but also it holds our Leatherman multitool, spare keys, GPS and TomTom Sat Nav, all with plenty of room to spare. This makes it a hell of a lot easier to switch between vehicles, just grab the bag and throw it into the cubby.

Carries all the important stuff,

A comment was also made (by a female I hasten to add) that it would be perfect to carry her make-up in their expedition prepped Defender.

perhaps THE most important equipment?!
