Until now the list of accessories and modifications available for the Nissan Navara were all filed under the 'styling' heading. By this we mean they added to the visual appeal of a very capable truck but there is little, if anything, that could be filed under the 'off-road equipment' heading. Until now . . .

Very recently Overland Expedition Company’s fabrication and fitting skills came to the rescue of a very specialist team working for the Government. This is how Paul and the workshop team rescued their contract by fabricating and testing the first ever winch mounting system for a 2006 Nissan Navara Outlaw.

A government department whom OEC4x4 does a lot of work for recently bought a fleet of new Nissan Navara Outlaw 2006 edition double cabs. As part of their work they required winches fitting to both the rear and front of the vehicles….instantly!!

What they failed to realise having always used Land Rovers previously was that there was no factory fitting kits available as the vehicle had just rolled off production.

This didn’t phase OEC4x4 who promptly stripped the front end of the vehicle down, fabricated, coated and fitted a bespoke winch mounting system and X9 Superwinch (as requested). Needless to say the vehicles were delivered back to the client two days later, fitted, tested and ready to use.

They were absolutely gob smacked with the superb finish, attention to detail and quality of OEC’s work. Note the beautiful finish around the trim where it has been cut away to accept the mount and the remotely position winch cable socket!

To date we still haven’t seen any other Nissans Outlaws driving around with a winch fitted?
