BISON flexible socket rails
By Simon Ward-Hastelow
6th Oct 2009

Another great project from BISON. These flexible socket rails grip onto your collection of sockets but are far easier to store and transport than the rigid metal ones and the clips don't come off!

There should be a Health and Safety warning issued with the old fashioned metal clips, particularly the cheaper varieties you see at shows being sold for pocket money. getting a socket off usually involves giving up an amount of skin too. Or you get your socket collection out only to find the size you need has fallen off somewhere.

Then along come BISON with another 'why didn't they think of that sooner' solution: The flexible socket rail.

These are available in three sizes and hold 14 sockets each. (1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drive) They are also available in two colours (red and black) which is great for storing metric sockets on one and imperial on the other.

Made from the same material as replacement suspension bushes they are extremely durable.

We did a couple of tests with a full socket rail to see if the sockets came off - and they didn't we tied it in a knot, we threw it up in the air and we drove over it, the sockets held firm.

But perhaps the best selling point, if you store your tools under your seat like me, is that they don't rattle!!
